Here to save teachers time – I have already done the research--
Follow ndezinski on Twitter for listing of educational web sites, educational magazines,, fieldtrip locations, & other neat educational information & materials. www.twitter.com/ndezinski I will add new sites regularly.
Just look through my list of tweets, find the ones that interest you, & chick on to check them out!
I have found so much good educational material & information! Some teachers, leaders, & parents can copy off, while a large amont students will need to use the computure Take advantage of them. I used a lot of it when I was teaching & now am using it to write up camp curriculum along with sharing it on our educational blog which is linked on www.christianlivingclmasafamia.blogspot.com
Thank you, Nellie Dezinski
Nellie, this is excellent!!! I am getting ready to use it with my college students /student teachers, with my Special Ed Director / Teacher Consultant position; & my summer programs. I didn’t know how I was going to be able to carry on all my work responsibilities with my family responsibilities and my health. These sites that you are listing on your Twitter account have all the information that I need right in one place at my figure tips along with the DEL-A-LAC/DAL-A-LEC materials that you sent me on the disk. Thank you, so very much!! JoAnneLeighette
ReplyDeleteNellie,
ReplyDeleteThis is marvelous! I can use it in all the programs that I’m responsible for – college student teachers & post-grad teachers classes. SPED Director, my consulting firm, etc. It will save me so much time! I was trying to figure when I could get it all done. I’m also using all your DEL-A-LAC/DAL-A-LEC programs that you put on the disk for me. My family thanks you big time; maybe they will just get to see me some now & I won’t be begging them so much to help me with it all. I can just open up your Twitter site & go down & pick out what I need for each project: I made a paper copy of it also, plus have it on my flash drive; I’ll keep checking back for you updates. Thanks, again.

Hi again!
ReplyDelete As you have seen from my previous two writings, I want to make people think for themselves.
That is good teaching and part of my philosophy for teaching; I always try to get my students to think for themselves no matter what their age is. I will not always be there to tell them what to do, so I must guide them in the direction of learning to think for their own selves and to draw their own conclusion.
Teachers should not teach their opinions usually but just facts. I say usually because there may be times when a teacher may say, “This works for me, you may want to try it” or “This is a good strategy for learning, try it and see if it helps you”. Students should be given facts, but not just given a lot of facts to learn; show them how it connects to them.
A gal whom has been helping us out in getting material for our classes / workshops wrote curriculum that starts each grade level with starting the new school year out in the fall by starting at each and every student’s home and school. My sisters (NaomiLeah [Maine], GloriaLeana [South Carolina], EthelPearl [Montana], EvaOdeenka [New Mexico] & LauraLiegh [Hawaii]) and I (JoAnneLeighette [Alaska])are using it in our Faith-Hope-Charity Educational Consulting Businesses and seeing if there are any bugs in the program as NellieLee [no relation (met only once in Florida long ago) from Michigan] tweaks it, and then she will have it up for publication. As you see, we are from all over the USA, so we have the opportunity to work it into each area (climate, geography, history, state standards, etc.) of the USA.
We need to expose our students to many things so that they can draw their own conclusions wisely. Fieldtrips and camp experiences are very much needed and needs to be included in lesson plans. I really like the DEL-A-LAC/DAL-A-LEC Curriculum as it includes this. Also, included and very important are: hands-on, project-based, community-based, among so much more.
In Christ’s Name until next time, JoAnneLeighette
My sisters told me about your twitter account where you are tweeting educational sites; I think this is fantastic, it will be a big help in lesson planning, etc. I already looked at it. They said when you get more sites, you plan to organize it & put it on here. I will be looking forward to it; I hope you have it done before school starts up again. I guess I met you when they did years ago; sorry, I don't remember much about it.
